PICT Control was designed to operate as quickly and reliably as possible while keeping the size of the CDEF resource to a practical minimum. One decision that was made in the interest of these objectives was to use certain ROM routines (the fast ΓÇ£1ΓÇ¥ series resource manager routines) introduced in the Macintosh PlusΓÇÖ 128K ROM. If you wish to use PICT Controls in an application, be sure to test for the presense of the 128K (or better) ROMs.
